With my camera as my looking glass, I try and capture every unique moment that I can. Funny faces. Looks of wonder and awe. Moments of utter exhileration and complete stillness. Times when a child's world consists only of his imagination. These are the moments when children are free. Free to let their little spirits run wild. These are their days. Days of constant learning and discovery. Everything is exciting, awesome, and perfect. I want to freeze these moments in time with my lens, because all too soon they will be gone. And all that's left are my photographs.

BLEEDING PINK

The paragraph below was written On Feb 15th 2009. On March 13, 2009, just 4 short weeks later, my mother ended her battle with breast cancer and began a new and glorious life in heaven with her heavenly father. My mother was 66.

My mom is the strongest woman that I know - She has fought breast cancer courageously for well over a decade. Through it all she has raised 4 kids, helped run more than one business and kept a house and loving home. This past weekend I convinced her to let me do a photo shoot with her. In honor of her, I am adding something new to my photography business. It is specifically for cancer patients. I want to show that while cancer is an ugly disease, its victims remain beautiful through it all. These are a few of my favorite shots of my mom.

I never knew a hero until my mom became one.
